I was very gratified, in reviewing that site, to find an unexpected number of Bangorites and other assorted Mainers, who found the little self-appointed intellectual thug’s comments to be repugnant.

My conclusions are as follow:

Stephen King is a twisted little man, who could only make a living by regurgitating his infantile nightmares for those who need to escape their own reality to be frightened by his gory stories about other twisted people.

Considering his oh-so-cogent statement: "I don’t want to sound like an ad, a public service ad on TV, but the fact is if you can read, you can walk into a job later on. If you don’t, then you’ve got the Army, Iraq, I don’t know, something like that. It’s not as bright," I would say that he should have been attending a remedial basic English language course, rather than speaking at a writers symposium.

King has expressed an unforgivable slur on the men and women serving in the U.S. armed forces, both active and reserve. These people, who are true public servants and heroes, are among the most intelligent and courageous of Americans. They have demonstrated the ability to operate the most complex, computerized weaponry and other technical equipment ever known to mankind, and the courage to serve on the front lines of the war against terrorism. Our military is an entirely volunteer force, in direct contrast to all previous wars, and in contrast to most other armies of the world.

The U.S. military is doing quite well in its recruiting efforts, thank you, as reflected in both conservative and liberal news media outlets. However, should the military ever get to the point that they need to recruit inferior intellects, I would submit that the referenced Bangor Daily News article provides a good first mailing list:

This time Jimmuh is planning to visit his Terrorist comrades from Hamas in Syria. According to Fox News, “The Arabic-language newspaper Al-Hayat reported Tuesday that Carter was planning a trip to Syria for mid-April, during which he would meet with Khaled Meshal, the exiled head of the Palestinian terror group Hamas, on April 18.”

No doubt we are soon to be treated to another performance of the M---n from Plains, as he calls yet another press conference to slander America and Israel.

Prior to the misadventures of Carter (after his unceremonious, landslide defeat in the 1980 presidential election), subsequent to the end of his single disastrous term as President, past U.S. Presidents were dignified senior statesmen. They did not criticize the actions of those Presidents that followed them, and they limited their foreign engagements to assignments from the sitting President to represent their country at the funerals of foreign dignitaries abroad, etc.

Jimmuh, however, having failed miserably as President, has been a one-man wrecking crew for U.S. foreign policy ever since. Between insane America-hating rants in the lands of our enemies, he has lent his own special  imprimatur to endorse dubious foreign elections of totalitarian thugs.

It is high time that the law was laid down to this traitor. His passport should be confiscated, his pension should be stopped and he should be prosecuted for his violations of the Logan Act.

He is, and he always will be, the laughing stock of former U.S. Presidents. For his own sake, and for the sake of his family, he should retire to his peanuts in Georgia. Memo to Rosalynn – Put a leash and a muzzle on him!

Attention all liberals. Welcome to the real world. Those of you who are die-hard Hillary supporters have expressed abject surprise and wonderment that the left wing media, including but not limited to MSNBC, NBC, CBS, ABC, Politico and the Huffington Post, are saying things even nastier than you have ever heard from the “vast right-wing conspiracy.” The only reason for this anomaly is that

those left-wing insiders, are and were her brethren. They know even more of the awful inside truths about the Clintons than has ever been known to the Right.

It is interesting and amusing to see many of you now employing the term “the so called liberal media.” It shows that you have not yet accepted the entire truth. In order to grow into the ultimate state of awareness, you must understand and accept the truth, the whole truth, etc.

The left is all about power - absolute power. The vile Clinton Machine has squandered their power, and the performance of the walking, talking sex maniac and his wagging bony finger has written the epitaph for his legacy.

Even throwing around much of their “pardon-profiteering” and other ill-gotten gains cannot save the Clintons from the billions of Soros. Yes - Soros has been keeping a low profile, but there can be little doubt that his unmistakable accent is booming from behind the curtain in the Emerald City.

In fact, it may be more than irony that his private investment group invested in a “provider of targeted news and information” business by the name of “YellowBrix”, which is backed by “Soros Fund Management, the investment management firm controlled by George Soros, with minority  interests from The Walt Disney Company and CNNfn.” Their website, at www.yellowbrix.com discloses that, “YellowBrix solutions can be found on more than 80 sites with marquee partners including such leading sites as CNNfn, Network Solutions, Go Network and ZDNet.”

So – when you puzzle over who is pulling the strings on the marionettes Obama, Leahy, Kennedy, Kerry, Dean, et al, ad nauseum, just follow the money.

The Speech Barack Obama Should Have Delivered

[I am not a professional speech-writer, as you are about to find out. However, here is a freebie, for the consideration of Barack Obama. I believe that it is, if he could do so truthfully and sincerely, the speech that he should have given on March 18, 2008, in the City of Brotherly Love.]

I am profoundly sorry. I apologize with all my heart to the People of the United States and to my constituents in the State of Illinois.

I have been the beneficiary of an extraordinary gift, a gift that started before I was born and that has continued to this day. That gift began as a gift to my father, who was born black and poor in Africa. The greatest country that the world has ever known, the United States of America, gave my father a scholarship and brought him to the U.S., where he earned college degrees in economics, first at the University of Hawaii, and later a graduate degree at Harvard. This extraordinary gift occurred during the 1960s, surrounding the time of my birth, and the U.S. asked nothing of my father in return. For that gift, I thank you America.

My mother, a white woman, was given the gift of having been born in the greatest country on earth to two quintessential working class American parents - her father, who joined the U.S. Army after the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor, and her mother, who served the efforts of WWII by working in the Boeing plant in Wichita, Kansas. After the United States and its allies had defeated the forces of evil in WWII, these ordinary American parents saw to it that my mother had the opportunity to receive the level of education that had not been possible for them. This is the blueprint of the “American Dream” – parents doing their best to see that their children have even more opportunities than they had been afforded. For that gift, I thank you America.

America’s gift to my family, and thus to me, was the gift that kept on giving. I was granted the good fortune of having been born in the United States to my parents, two people of different races, making me an alloy of the great American melting pot. While my childhood was somewhat unconventional, owing to the life-choices of my divorced parents, who were world-travelers seeking knowledge and a way to contribute to their world, I consider that to have been an advantage, rather than a disability.

When I was ten, my mother sent me to live with my maternal grandparents, who accepted me unconditionally, in spite of the obvious difference in the color of our skin, and afforded me a further upbringing and educational opportunity, that made it possible for me to eventually reach a level of success that has exceeded that of my parents. America – thank you again.

What else has this unbelievable country given to me? The blessings are many too many for me to recount; but I will name just a few. I have been given the opportunity to obtain an extraordinary level of education, without having been born with family wealth. I have been entrusted by the people of Illinois, with the privilege of representing them in state government and then as a Senator in the Senate of the United States of America. Thank you Illinois, and thank you America.

In reflecting on all of these gifts, which would not have been possible in any other country on earth, at any other time in the history of this world, I have concluded that I have failed to sufficiently appreciate what I have been given. In fact, I have publicly complained about my country, in a way that denigrates this country and shows a lack of appreciation, of which I am deeply ashamed.

I am sorry. I am deeply sorry. In retrospect, I recognize that many of the gifts, that I have received, have been paid for by other Americans, people who don’t even know me, some people who are not even alive. I recognize that many of the gifts that I have received have been unavailable to others, because there is never enough to give equally to each person in the country, or in the world.

I now see that there are a number of things that I could have done, over the years, to more fully acknowledge the debt of gratitude that I owe to my country and to my countrymen, all of them.

While there are many things that I will try to do, in order to remedy this shortcoming, I want to address one issue in particular, and that is the race issue. This issue has recently been brought to the forefront, due to my membership in a particular church, with a particular pastor. I apologize that my approach to the race issue, and to the pronouncements of my pastor, has been cowardly. I have taken the typical politician’s approach to race in America. I, and my campaign organization, have tried to exploit race relations, and race-guilt in America, to my advantage. I have been able to rationalize that to myself by believing that this was the only way for me to be elected, and thus to make unique contributions to America.

I was wrong. I have not only failed you, I have failed my pastor, my congregation and my family. Over a very long period of time, I have failed to tell my pastor, and good friend, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, that I do not agree with his jaded and misguided view of the United States; nor his negative view of the white race. I have failed to try to convince him, and my congregation, that his vile pronouncements against America, and especially white Americans, is wrong and serves only to divide, rather than unify. Having been afraid to take those actions, I was then also wrong not to remove my family, especially my daughters, from that atmosphere of hate.

While my own particular racial makeup is somewhat unusual, it is not unique in this great country. While my level of education and experience may be unusual (or even above-average), it is not unique. In other words, I am not perfect, and I may not even be worthy to be asking you, the American people, to give me another gift, the extraordinary gift of trusting me to be President of the United States.

However, I will ask you to take a chance on me. I desperately want the opportunity to contribute to my country. I wish to do whatever I can, to the best of my ability, to repay part of the debt that I owe to the United States. I believe that I have the best ideas, and the best answers to issues, of any candidate in this contest for the presidency.

So I ask you, as humbly as I can, to cast an informed vote for me. Please, do not vote for me, or against me, because of the color of my skin. Please don’t vote for me, or against me, because of the color of your skin. All I ask is that you read my position papers, and those of my opponents. Listen to my speeches, and those of my opponents. If you conclude, as I hope and think you will, that my positions offer the best direction for America, vote for me. Together I truly believe that we can make America, the greatest country on earth, ever better.

So – I say again, I am sincerely sorry for my lack of gratitude to my God and my country. Please accept this belated thank-you for all of the gifts that I have been given. Please grant me the opportunity to repay my debt.

Spitzer’s Crimes – Will He Pay Enough – Will He Pay At All

Assuming that the facts, or even many of them, are true as they have been presented in the myriad of articles on this subject, will the government extract the right amount of punishment for his crimes? That’s right – crimes – not just one crime.

Many apologists, and political cronies, are trying to find a way to get him off the hook, if he just resigns and apologizes. After all, these Democrats and liberals feel that there was no crime. It’s just sex. You know – like it was for Bill Clinton.

No – no – no. It is not just sex. Let’s list some of the sordid crimes:

1. Money laundering – or some form of it. He violated the same financial transactions legislation that he used to prosecute others, and SENT THEM TO JAIL.

2. Soliciting for Prostitution. Eliot Spitzer, over a period of about TEN YEARS, has solicited women for sex for pay. During part of that same period, he prosecuted prosecution rings and prostitutes and SENT THEM TO JAIL, for the same acts.

3. Identity Theft. Eliot Spitzer used the name and identity of George Fox, a close friend and political supporter, to book a room at the Mayflower Hotel, in order to cover up his participation in crime. During his years as NY-AG and U.S. Attorney, he prosecuted others for the same acts, and SENT THEM TO JAIL.

4. Compounding a Felony. Eliot Spitzer, having intimate working knowledge that an international prostitution ring was operating in his state and throughout the U.S., did not notify the authorities, so that the criminals could be apprehended. When he was a prosecutor, he likely squeezed informants, until they disclosed such information. If they did not, HE SENT THEM TO JAIL.

5. Suspected bribery. Perhaps Governor Spitzer received special hooker concierge service, maybe even a five-finger-discount, for the services rendered to him, in return for his silence. When Spitzer was prosecuting, he would have pressed this type of charge against a corrupt public official, and HE WOULD HAVE SENT THEM TO JAIL.

So while all of you apologists are thinking about ways to let Eliot off the hook, think about these things. It is NOT JUST ABOUT SEX. Right now his mouthpieces are plea bargaining to try to save him from jail time (that one is a no-brainer), trying to keep his law license (if he does, there is no justice), trying to keep any fines to a minimum, and perhaps even trying to bargain possible charges down to a misdemeanor.

Perhaps, just perhaps he should not have to serve jail time for these many crimes. However, if he gets any more favorable consideration than that, then someone should start an investigation of the prosecutors.

Client 9 Will Resign

It’s only a matter of time for Client 9. One can only conclude that “Client 9” has not yet been successful at negotiating a plea bargain that will keep him out of jail and perhaps limit the amount of public disclosure of details in the hands of prosecutors. Otherwise, he would have resigned by now.

In addition to having to come clean with the U.S. Attorney’s office about this particular activity, the Time Magazine “Crusader of the Year” may also have to answer questions about why this particular prostitution ring, Emperors Club VIP, was not one of the rings that he prosecuted as the N.Y. A.G. and/or the U.S. Attorney of N.Y. Hmmm!

The pride of Princeton, Harvard, and the New York Bar, specialized in plea bargains or civil settlements in the many Wall Street cases that he and his minions pursued. No one really went to jail over any of those cases, and many of his friends and cronies were named to substitute in the executive management of many of the target firms. Hmmm!

“Eliot Ness” (as many publications called him) was not very successful in his recent effort to expand his Democrat voter roll, when he tried to grant illegal aliens the “right” to New York Driver’s Licenses, which would have been a virtual free ticket to voting in N.Y.

The great governor of the Empire State had barely mouthed the final words of the oath of office, when he and his aides apparently put into action a plan to smear the great man’s political enemies, most notably Joseph Bruno, the Republican leader of the New York State Senate. If I remember correctly it was something like falsified travel records, utilizing the N.Y. State Patrol. Hmmm! The “Crusader of the Year” strikes again.

So – when his Love Potion Number Nine wears off, I fully expect Client 9 to resign. Pardon the poetic license..

McCain Will Not Be Good for America’s Security

In spite of his long-ago background in the military, McCain has inadvertently revealed his weak approach to security.

In the various debates, and in interviews about those debates, McCain made the absolute pronouncement that: “I am astonished that…anyone could believe that [waterboarding] is not torture. It’s in violation of the Geneva Conventions.”

As in other matters, McCain doesn’t allow that there are any other views, instead personally attacking those with different views, saying that his “pro-torture” opponents who “…chose to do other things when this nation was fighting its wars.” [ibid.]

McCain’s various statements, especially his insistence that the U.S. is in violation of the Geneva Convention”, may lead to international pressure to prosecute U.S. soldiers and CIA (perhaps even some American political leaders) for “war crimes” for the water-boarding of Sheik Khalid Mohammed.

I do not like McCain’s point of view, and I do not like the nasty, angry way that he personally attacks people who believe otherwise.

All of this leads me to believe, that for whatever reason, probably his own selfish presidential aspirations, he will continue to debase our military and intelligence communities with his “Amnesty International-like” pronouncements, in order to garner the left-wing vote.

Chameleon McCain may go so far as to sign onto the so-called “International Criminal Court” [See the “Rome Statute of the International Court].  This device, intended to cripple the power of the U.S. in a more tangible way than the United Nations, would definitely lead to an unending stream of spurious prosecutions of the United States, for everything from soup to nuts.

It is my view that McCain is not to be trusted, and that in addition to the myriad other reasons not to vote for him, he will not be strong on national defense, in spite of his claims to the contrary.
